The Waller Creek Show is a series of lighted art installations along the Waller Creek walkway through Downtown Austin. Three of the five pieces are highlighted here for your visual pleasure.
The Natural Unnatural by Clark|Richardson Architects resembles a giant glowing spiderweb or unraveled ball of string. Through a lighted web of interconnections the piece illustrates relationships between the chaos of natural waterflows and manmade devices that attempting to control it.

AT/x by Luke Savisky is an interactive light piece built into a tunnel under 7th Street. Walkers along the creek are photographed through a video camera and their images are projected and distorted onto the curved stonework of the tunnel.

Floating the Waller by Ten Eyck Landscape Architects is the most iconic piece in the show. This piece of environmental art consists of rows of glowing green inner tubes like phantoms tubers running the creek at night.

The Creek Show Light Night began last year a one night stand and expanded in 2015 to 10 nights of art and light. The show is sponsored by the Waller Creek Conservancy whose mission is to transform and sustain Austin’s Waller Creek. The 2015 edition of the show continues along the Waller Creek trail in the entertainment district from 6 to 10 pm until November 21.
